Project 1
This Project is the first one I've made. It is about waste and pollution, and how it has affected us throughout history.
This Projects thinking skill is "Contextualization". Otherwise known as context or information. I wanted to find out how as a human race in America how we effect the environment around us as well as the earth as a whole. My project mostly focuses what you can do about pollution and how certain things can be recycled or how specific things like plastic can have to power to kill animals. To have a visual about my project, copy the links in the sections and paste them into your search bars!

Art My art portion shows how by thinking of different solutions to recycle trash around your house. You can turn paper scraps into a collage or a empty bottle into a bird feeder. For my project I turned a blank canvas into a collage of sorts that has many colorful lines that shoot into a recycling symbol. What do you think it means?
If you have answered the question then get ready for the answer. What it means is that we can try to prevent pollution, but it's never a guarenteed savior. To show contextualization I wanted to have my poems give you an idea of how A picture of my project can be seen below. A link will be provided for a better view. |
HistoryMy history portion shows that throughout history there were major faults in our system. But by working hard we created laws and other system to prevent an out come of absolute destruction. There are many people who have prevented and made acts or protected areas for this purpose. People such as John muir is a good example. I really post the image of it here since it's to big to fit. So you can find it by copying the link below and pasting it into the search bar: https://create.piktochart.com/output/35933686-waste-in-american-history |
EnglishFor my English part, I annotated the text of a poem about the loss of a friend. This poem was not the loss of a human friend however, it was a seas turtle that died due to pollution in the ocean. This poem shows how we're not the only people whom are affected by the pollution on the earth. But what do you think this poem really means? Do you have any questions or concerns about how it was produced? The poem can be found down here. Read it throughly and look at my Annotations, try making some of your own. Copy the link and put it into the search box. I wanted to show how certain words and phrases can affect how Information was recieved as well as why my topic can convey truthful information that is happening in the world. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EyU2V2_2x8EX0ICkcaL-bb1pPYO-YcDRCyBFKkxdaUs/edit?usp=sharing |
